Needles Hwy./Custer State Park

Wild Life & Bison Jam

We went to Needles Highway and Custer State Park today.  It was a beautiful ride! We ran into  our biker friends again as we watched a family(2 adults,2 kids) climb one of the peaks! I couldn't believe the father sent the kids,  aged about 5 & 9 down first. The younger kid was not liking this sport as he cried half way down the peak. I guess he figured he had no choice now! It was totally nerve wracking to watch!

In Custer we saw a lot of wild life especially Bison. We got stuck in a "Bison Jam" as they call it for at least 20 minutes! They do not move!! The cars were backed up over a mile.

We saw Mountain Goats too.  Love it!!
