Travel Day, Beautiful Drive

Image
Here's some pics from the sun rise that Megan took. Otherwise, it was a long car ride on a beautiful road.   We drove down Tioga Road to get to our next destination Along the way we saw Mono Lake. Eventually arrived at our next temporary home, Indian Flats RV Park, which is outside of Yosemite. Hung by the pool for a bit and had a relaxing day after a long drive to get rested up for Yosemite.

Car fixed 🤞 Rock climbing hike. Then dinner... not to die for.

Knew it was going to be a great day from the start when I caught the sunrise on my way to Reno to get my truck fixed. We went on a hike above Lake Tahoe tunnel. Me, Megan, and Michael climbed on the rocks to get to the very top.  Dori stayed back in case she needed to claim our bodies. Megan.... Not only our tour guide and mental compass, but also our camera girl. Had a picturesque dinner down by camp Richardson on Lake Tahoe.  Not to say much for the dinner. The ice water was delicious.  Would highly NOT recommend t he dish they called fried calamari. =

The First Day of a Wonderful Week to Come!

Woke up with the kids for our first full day with them.  Had a nice breakfast, omelets.  Had no plans until Tour Guide (Megan) booked us a party boat on Lake Tahoe to Emerald Bay. After, we went to take the gondola ride at Heavenly, but it was shut down due to the forest fires.  Decided to make the best of the village at Heavenly ski resort so got something to eat, listened to some music, window shopped. (that's what the guys think! LOL) Oh yeah, and accidently caught a sighting.... yup, Big Foot! Then ended the day catching the sunset down by the lake.

Truck Saga Part 4 & Picked Up The Kiddies

Went into town to get the truck light fixed at Ford dealer Service was unbelievably good. They had our light in stock, the last one.  Bought it but didn't get it installed. Picked up Michael & Megan at the airport. Returned to a completely empty campsite, we were the only ones there.   This is because of the nearby  Caldor Fire caused many roads to be closed.
