Marisa & Charlie's Wedding Day!

Image
Joe and I were sad that we couldn't make the wedding.  I heard they had a beautiful wedding & reception which is all that matters!  We sent them our wishes and cheered them with the favors that they gave their guests!  We went into town to a Bear & Wolf Rehab Center. It was very cool because these guys wouldn't survive in the wild because of their injuries so they are taken care of here.

How's Your Weather? It's 27°F Here.

Ran into Smokey, Then Ran to the Hospital

Smokey says "Forest Fires Kill."  And then Smokey said "And so do I" We're at the hospital now getting Dori's arm reattached! 😜

Too Early for this girl! We got up at 5am and went to Hayden Valley to see the wildlife.  It's best at dawn and dusk to find them.  We came across  a pack of wolves munching on a bison carcass! We weren't too close to them but had binoculars. After they finished eating they all started howling to gather the pack together to leave. Very Cool!  At the same time, the sun was rising over the mountain.  Beautiful!  We stopped in a pull off to relieve ourselves.  yes, TMI!  LOL!! I thought the "live" Bison was a statue when I came out of the restroom. Joe was annoyed that he had to wait his turn.  Then we went on to different geyser basins. Bubbling, scorching water and steam blowing holes everywhere. Of course we went to Old Faithful too!  Along the ride we hit the continental divide. Then on our way back home after this long day we saw some Pronghorn. They look like big deer but are in a family of their own.  Great wildlife day! ...

Yellowstone National Park

Image
Another beautiful place to visit! Yellowstone is a place like no other!  The landscape changes throughout the park. Sometimes you're in the woods and then you feel like you're on the moon!  We got into the park about 11am.  You know, early, Dori time! LOL!  It was ok because this time of year it isn't that packed. We stopped at Gibbons Falls first.  It was nice but we had been to Niagara Falls already so this didn't compare for me. Gibbons Falls We went to Norris Geyser Basin next. Now this is a scene out of a movie.  Can't believe the earth can continuously bubble and spray and not blow up! Went into canyon village then to the south rim of Yellowstone canyon which was beautiful!  Upper Falls

On the road again!

Drive, drive, drive! We drove almost 300 miles today and got to Grizzly campground in Yellowstone about 4pm.  We just cooked dinner and stayed home.  Long day! It's dangerous out here!!

Cowgirl Issues

Image
This is where Dori hangs her hat, which is Alyssa's hat. You see the tape still on TV? Yes, we still have that on and that would drive Michael crazy. And then there's these hats too. Dori is a real cowgirl who wears her cowgirl hat to bed.

What Do You Think Lives In There?
